At its heart, our Endometriosis and Persistent Pelvic Pain clinic is about team work, with you firmly at the centre. We are happy to work collaboratively with a team of your choosing, including any practitioners with whom you have an existing therapeutic relationship.
Alecia is an experienced GP and the Director of Thrive Family Practice.
She leads the Endometriosis and Persistent Pelvic Pain clinic and program. She co-presents our Endo First Aid Groups. She is available for endometriosis assessments.
Alecia is certified for IUD and implanon insertion and removal. She is also undertaking further training in bedside ultrasound. Alecia is a member of the Adelaide Pelvic Pain Network and the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia.
Alecia also has a Graduate Diploma in Scientific Communication, with a skill set in explaining complex scientific concepts in plain language.
Alecia's passion is in the provision of Lifestyle Medicine, which is looking first at food, movement, sleep, stress and social connection.
Kylie completed her medical studies at Flinders University in 1997. She worked as a rural GP In various South Australian rural towns and worked one summer on a cruise ship in Antarctica. Kylie has spent the last 12 years working in Adelaide’s Southern Suburbs as a specialist GP.
Kylie is keen to find out the “why” and the “who” as well managing the diagnosis.
Kylie is married with 2 teenage children. Her interests include caring for her front yard edible garden, photography, walking her anxious labradoodle down Brighton Beach and learning how to optimise health through nutritional and lifestyle modifications.
Elaine is a highly experienced GP. having completed her medical degree in 2001 at the University of NSW. She completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide in 2015 with her research interest being around stroke prevention.
She has a specific interest in women’s health including contraception, IUD insertions and supporting women in leading healthy active lives. Outside of work Elaine loves trying to run -on the roads, trails, after her young children and their Border Collie puppy!
Georgie is a General Practitioner who loves the variety of her job and will take a holistic approach in guiding you to reach your health goals.
She is trained to perform Implanon insertion/removal, Intrauterine device(Mirena, Kyleena or copper) insertion/removal, iron infusion and is training in bedside ultrasound.
Georgie believes that living an active lifestyle plays an essential role in
health and wellbeing. In her spare time she enjoys running, ocean
swimming and walking her Golden Retriever Dusty.
Dr Preetam Ganu is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a keen interest in improving women’s health and delivering the highest standard of professional care for women with a warm personal touch. She is very passionate about women’s healthcare.
Preetam trained extensively in Australia and holds Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Preetam has had the amazing opportunity to work with Associate Professor Dr Susan Evans, an advocate in Pelvic Pain, this inspired and further developed my passionate interest in pelvic pain. She is part of the Adelaide Pelvic Pain Network, a network of likeminded professionals who are committed to helping people with Pelvic Pain.
Preetam is also involved in Fertility treatment and is currently completing a Masters in Reproductive Medicine.
Dr Tran Nguyen is a South Australian gynaecologist with a special interest in minimal access surgery, pelvic floor dysfunction, and fertility. She completed her medical training at Flinders University and specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) where she was recognised as an advanced laparoscopic surgeon after completing her AGES Fellowship.
Tran is an O&G staff specialist at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Modbury Hospital. She has an academic appointment as an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide.
Tran is also involved with Desert Flower Australia, which is a not-for-profit organisation to held women affected by female genital mutilation.
Adlyn plays a key role in our Endometriosis and Persistent Pelvic Pain program. She is a main touch point for our patients, coordinates care and planning and the broader team.
Adlyn brings 20 years' experience to her role as Practice Nurse and Health Coach. Adlyn's passion is helping and inspiring others to make better health choices through diet, sleep, movement and mindset, to help them live their best life.
Adlyn will be working to help empower patients to take control over their health and wellbeing.
Adlyn continues to upskill as a health coach through ongoing education through the Accredited Health Coaching program. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in pain management and has experience supporting patients complex challenges including pelvic pain.
Nicole began her nursing career in the acute setting of ICCU at FMC in 2007 until 2020 when she transitioned into chronic disease management, preventative health, and health coaching. A personal auto-immune scare caused Nicole to transform her lifestyle through gut/body health, mind health, and rest.

When not working you will find Nicole in a basketball stadium supporting her two boys, in a yoga class, walking Millie (the labradoodle) down the beach, renovating something, travelling in 'Freddy' the caravan (preferably in Byron Bay) or hanging with her favourite people with a coffee.
Cherie sees many of our patients one on one, and is a facilitator at our Endo First Aid Program.
She is an exercise physiologist and wellbeing coach and is accredited with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Much of her early career was spent at the University of South Australia where she lectured and tutored in the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology Program and clinically supervised students.
These days her results are focused on helping tired, stressed and deconditioned people regain their vitality for life.
She has particular interests in mental health, metabolic health, disability and chronic pain including pelvic pain.
She also has a special interest in working people who are neurodivergent or who suspect they may be without a formal diagnosis.
Many women with endometriosis and pelvic pain will benefit from seeing a pelvic physiotherapist.
Alycia is a physiotherapist with over 23 years of experience, specialised interests and training in the fields of women, men and children’s pelvic health. She is an APA Titled Member of the Continence and Women’s Health Group and a Member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (MACP).
Alycia has been working exclusively in the field of pelvic health in Private Practice since 2011 working with patients to improve prolapse, urgency, incontinence and pelvic pain.
As a mother of three busy boys, Alycia’s spare time is mostly spent on the sporting sidelines but where possible she likes to squeeze in some fitness, dinners with friends and important family catch ups.
Carolyn has 20 years of experience in both the public and private practice sectors. She is a titled Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist.
Carolyn is committed to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with the latest research and most current evidence-based practice. Carolyn treats common pelvic conditions such as bladder and bowel dysfunction and pelvic pain.
Carolyn has three school aged children including a set of twins. You’ll find her practicing what she preaches at the gym, often in the early hours of the morning!
Neralie is a Clinical Psychologist who has a special interest in treating insomnia and other sleep problems, as well as helping individuals with chronic health conditions (such as chronic pain, pelvic pain, POTS, Ehler’s-Danlos Syndrome, hyper mobility spectrum disorder, rheumatological conditions, and long COVID to live a rich, full and meaningful life.
Neralie uses a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

Nicole is an experienced Accredited Practicing Dietitian.
Nicole takes an evidenced based approach to the management of endometriosis and pelvic pain through the application of an anti-inflammatory diet.
She is a Low Carb Specialist helping people to reverse chronic disease and improve their general health and well being through nutritional therapy.
Paul is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Flinders Medical Centre, and IBD SA. He has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Paul is part of the Adelaide Pelvic Pain Network and sees many patients troubled with pelvic pain.
He completed a 3 year fellowship with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne) and undertook a PhD in collaboration with the University of Melbourne. The focus of his PhD was investigating the impact of newer medical treatments on the course of IBD and improving the quality of life of patients with IBD.
Apart from inflammatory bowel disease, his other interests are general gastroenterology, including endoscopy and colonoscopy, bowel cancer prevention, coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Dr Spizzo consults at Tennyson Centre, Flinders Private Hospital and Calvary Adelaide Hospital, and performs endoscopic procedures at the Tennyson Centre Day Hospital, Ashford Hospital and Flinders Private Hospital.
Richard Thorpe is a fourth-generation pharmacist with over 30 years’ experience in the UK and Australia. Richard migrated to Australia 25 years ago having previously worked in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, and his home town of Bradford in Yorkshire.
Richard joins our team as our clinical pharmacist, predominantly visiting our patients at home for Home Medicine Reviews, giving our clinical team access to his broad experience and advice, tailored to the needs of each of our patients.
Richard has a breadth of experience including working with people with pelvic pain,
Richard aims to help patients understand how to get the best out of their medications, as well as helping our doctors to streamline our patients' medicines, including giving advice on (our favourite) deprescribing where safe and appropriate.
Outside of work Richard enjoys travelling and keeping fit.
